We were looking for an affordable home in the hot Hampton Roads real estate market. We had only two months after receiving military orders before reporting for duty at our new duty station. Moving from NC to VA was proving to be difficult when most of the properties we were interested in were going under contract within 24-48 hours after listing, and before we even had a chance to get there to view them.
We had reached out to Jackie well in advance, based on a recommendation from another military family. We chose Jackie for her local and military knowledge, as well as her attention to detail. We appreciate frequent communication and Jackie delivered. She let us know what to expect during the home buying process and was very responsive. She listened to our needs and budget, and recommended a lender to assist us in our veteran home loan endeavor. We anticipated obstacles and delays with affordable homes going quickly, but Jackie was on top of it the whole time and was able to fit us in expediently.
We never would have imagined in this market being able to view a home within 24 hours after it came on the market, deciding that was the one for us, making an offer which was one of eight offers in less than three days, and having our offer being the chosen one! Jackie was great to work with and answered every question. We closed in four weeks. Jackie stayed in touch with us throughout every step of the process.
Even now, after being in our home for two months, Jackie is still a valuable connection, sharing recommendations for contractors to help us with some home renovation projects on the horizon.
